Intensives are a condensed weeklong version of a semester course. A number of the College subjects are offered as Intensives, although not every subject is available due to the subject matter. Intensives work well for topical subjects, where specialised faculty are required, or the College has invited interstate of international faculty to teach for the week.
How Do Intensives Work?
Throughout the year the College offers Intensives. Intensives are used where a normal class of 13 weeks is condensed into four full consecutive teaching days (9.30am – 4.30pm). The rest of the semester is taken up through readings and assignment work.
The Benefits of Intensives
Intensives allow students who have a busy schedule due to work, family and at times other commitments. The Intensive allows the student to complete the courses work in a period of four days. Intensives also allow for students to accelerate through their course by taking extra classes during the summer and winter periods.
